Returning Items to LOFT: What You Need to Know

LOFT makes it possible to return items by mail or in-store. Each method has its own steps and fine print.

In-Store Returns

You can return or exchange items items bought at LOFT store to any LOFT store (but not LOFT Outlet, Ann Taylor, or Factory stores).

What you need:

  • Original receipt or proof of purchase for full refund
  • Gift receipt for store credit or exchange
  • No receipt? You’ll get store credit for the current selling price

  • Returns must be within 30 days for a refund in the original form of payment.
  • After 30 days, you’ll receive merchandise credit for the item’s current price.
  • Items marked as Final Sale cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Photo ID is required to receive or redeem merchandise credit.
  • One price adjustment is allowed within 7 days of purchase if the price drops (must have original receipt).

Note: Items bought at LOFT Outlet stores must be returned only to LOFT Outlet stores.

Returning by Mail

LOFT lets you return online purchases by mail in two ways.

Option 1: Use LOFT’s Prepaid Label

  1. Start your return by visiting LOFT’s Returns Portal on their website
  2. Provide the Order Number and Email ID (as entered on your order) to generate the return label. The screenshot of the returns portal is shared below

  1. Choose the items you want to return and print the prepaid return label
  2. Pack your item(s) and include the invoice
  3. Stick the label on the package (remove old labels)
  4. Drop off at nearest UPS or USPS location, depending on what the label says

Cost: $8.95 is deducted from your refund for the return label.

Option 2: Use Your Own Shipping Method

  1. Go to the returns portal on their website.
  2. Enter the order details to generate the return label.
  3. Print the return invoice
  4. Pack your items in original condition with the printed invoice
  5. Select a carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
  6. Pay the return postage at the time of shipping.
  7. Ship to:

Refunds

  • Returns with proof of purchase within 30 days: refund to original payment or merchandise exchange.
  • Returns with proof of purchase after 30 days: credit or exchange at current selling price.
  • Returns without receipt: credit at current selling price, not the price you paid.
  • Gift returns within 30 days: Online E-Gift Certificate for the amount paid by sender.

LOFT Quick Exchange Service

  • Contact LOFT:
    • Call 1-888-563-8444 or use the online chat.
  • Request Your Exchange:
    • Tell the representative the new size or color you want.
  • New Order Placed:
    • LOFT will place a new order for the item you want.
    • Your preferred credit card will be charged for the new item.
    • Standard ground shipping fee is waived for the exchange.
  • Return Your Original Item:
    • You can return the original item either:
      • By mail to the Online Store, or
      • In person at a LOFT store near you.

How to Cancel an Order

To request cancellation of your order, please contact Loft Customer service immediately after placing your order via chat, text, or phone. They will make every effort to cancel your order as soon as possible. However, please note that at LOFT, their business processes are designed to save you time by quickly processing orders, so the window for cancellation is very short.

If you selected In Store or Curbside Pick Up, your order cannot be cancelled. However, if you choose not to pick up your order, it will be automatically cancelled after the scheduled pick-up date passes.

Price Adjustments

If you buy something at full price and it goes on sale within 7 days, you can ask for a price adjustment. Here’s how:

  • Bring your original receipt to the store within 7 days.
  • Only one price adjustment is allowed per item.

Keep in mind that price adjustments do not apply during special promotions like percentage discounts.

International Returns

  • LOFT gladly accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, and defective merchandise by mail.
  • Returns must be accompanied by the original receipt and received within 30 days of purchase.
  • The refund will be credited for the price paid, using the original form of payment.
  • Returns will not be accepted after 30 days from the date of purchase.
  • Borderfree provides a refund for the original merchandise price, plus any duties and taxes originally paid, using the same currency and exchange rate as the original order.
  • You are responsible for any shipping charges.
  • Online merchandise shipped internationally via Borderfree cannot be returned or exchanged at LOFT, LOFT Outlet, Ann Taylor, or Ann Taylor Factory Store locations in the United States or Canada.
  • To process a return, please contact LOFT by email clientservices@LOFT.com or call 614-534-2756 to begin the Return Merchandise Authorization process.
  • International orders are not eligible for price adjustments.
