Shopping at LOFT is a delightful experience, but sometimes things don’t work out. Whether the item doesn’t fit or you changed your mind, knowing how to return a purchase is important.

This guide will walk you through LOFT return policy in simple terms. We will cover everything from return methods to specific conditions for different types of purchases. Let’s get started!

General Return Policy

LOFT allows returns of unworn, unwashed, and defective items. Here’s how you can return your items:

  • By Mail: You can return items by mail.
  • In Store: You can return items at any LOFT store, except for items from certain collections (like Swim and Intimates).
  • Note that you cannot return online purchases at Ann Taylor, LOFT Outlet, or Ann Taylor Factory stores.

Proof of Purchase

Having proof of purchase makes the return process smoother. Here’s what you need to know:

  • With Proof of Purchase:
    • If you return items within 30 days, you’ll get a refund in the original form of payment or a merchandise exchange (in-store only).
    • Gift returns within 30 days will receive an Online E-Gift Certificate for the amount paid by the sender.
    • Returns after 30 days will be credited for the current selling price as a merchandise credit or exchange (in-store only).
    • One price adjustment on full-priced items can be made within 7 days of purchase.
  • Without Proof of Purchase:
    • Returns without proof of purchase will be credited at the item’s current selling price as a merchandise credit.
    • Items marked as Final Sale cannot be returned or exchanged.

Returning by Mail

You have two options for returning items by mail:

Option 1: Using a Prepaid Label:

  • Visit the LOFT returns portal.
  • Provide the Order Number and Email ID (as entered on your order) as shown in the screenshot below

  • Follow the steps to return your items and print the return label.
  • Pack your items carefully and include your invoice.
  • Affix the return label and drop it off at the appropriate carrier (UPS or USPS) as mentioned on the label.

Note: Using the prepaid label will cost $8.95, deducted from your refund. Processing without using the link above may delay your refund. Its always better to use the return portal link for faster refunds.

Option2: Returning on Your Own:

  • Print the return invoice.
  • Pack your items and include the return invoice.
  • Choose a carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx) and you have to pay for postage.

Store Return

Different rules apply based on where you purchased the item:

  • Purchased at a LOFT Store: Can only be returned to a LOFT store.
  • Purchased at a LOFT Outlet Store: Can only be returned to a LOFT Outlet store.

Here’s what you need for store returns:

  • With Original Receipt (within 30 days): Refund in the original form of payment or exchange.
  • With Gift Receipt (within 30 days): Merchandise credit or exchange for the amount on the receipt.
  • Without Receipt: Credit at the item’s current selling price.
  • Final Sale Items: Items with .44, .77, or .88 cent price endings cannot be returned or exchanged.

Price Adjustments

One price adjustment is allowed on full-priced items within 7 days of purchase, with the original receipt. Price adjustments are not available for special promotions or online orders at stores.

International Returns

For international returns:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and defective.
  • Must include the original receipt and be returned within 30 days.
  • Refunds include the original price, duties, and taxes paid.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded.
  • Online international purchases cannot be returned in-store.
