How to Return a GAP Item

Returning to a GAP Store

  • Bring your item and a proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or credit card used for purchase) to a nearest Gap Store.
  • No need for packaging or labels.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method.

Returning Online Purchases by Mail

  • Pack your item securely and include the packing slip.
  • Drop it off at a UPS location.
  • If you don’t use the prepaid label, you pay for the return shipping.

  • Only for online purchases.

  • No need for packaging or labels—just hand the item to the pickup driver.

Refunds & Exchanges

  • Refunds go to the original payment method.
  • Credit card refunds may take up to 10 business days.
  • If you choose Instant Merchandise Credit, you get an eMerchandise Return Card instantly (but you must return the item within 7 days).
  • Exchanges are processed as a return and repurchase.
