In-Store Returns

  1. Visit a Local Store: You can take your unworn and undamaged items to any Madewell store in the U.S.
  2. Instant Refund: When you return the item in-store, you will receive your refund right away.

Mail Returns

If you prefer to return items by mail, follow these steps:

  1. Initiate Return Online: Go to the Madewell returns portal on their website.
  2. Print Return Label: You will need to print a shipping label and packing slip.
  3. Package Your Items: Put your items back in their original packaging with all tags attached.
  4. Drop Off Package: Take your package to a shipping location or drop it off at a USPS location.

If you do not have a printer, you can download a QR code from the returns portal and use it at a USPS location without needing to print anything.

Important Notes on Shipping

  • If you are not a Madewell Insider member, there is a $7.50 shipping fee deducted from your refund when returning items by mail.
