Summit Return Policy: Simplified
When you buy something online, it’s important to know the return policy. This helps if you get something that you don’t want or that doesn’t work right. Let’s go through Summit return policy step by step so you can understand how it works.
What is Summit Return Policy?
Summit offers a Handshake Guarantee. This means if you’re not happy with what you bought, you can return it. You have 90 days to return any new or unused item. They will give you your money back.
Restrictions
Some items cannot be returned unless there is a valid warranty issue. These items include:
- Parts that show signs of being used or installed
- Custom-ordered or personalized products
- Hazardous materials like batteries or paint
- Opened videos, software, or other copyrighted material
- Wheels or tires that have been mounted
Important Notes
- When returning an item, use the original packaging.
- Over-box the item to protect it during shipping. If you don’t have the original box, a UPS or FedEx store can help you.
- All returns are checked before you get your refund.
- If you return an item after the time limit or it shows use, you might have to pay a restocking fee.
- Shipping and handling fees are not refundable.
- If your order had any “special offers” or “free parts”, you must return them too, or their value will be taken from your refund.
- Scratch and Dent or Outlet Center items cannot be returned.
Restocking Policy and Fees
If you return a product that is more than 90 days old or shows signs of use, there is a restocking fee. Here’s how it works:
- Items returned between 90 and 180 days will have a 15% restocking fee.
- Items over 180 days old cannot be returned.
Additional Notes
- No returns are accepted past 6 months unless there is a valid warranty issue.
- Fees are taken from your refund.
- Summit checks all returned products. Items that show excessive age, abuse, or improper handling may be rejected.
- Rejected items are either sent back to you or disposed of, based on your preference.
Liability Policy
Summit’s liability for any losses or damages is limited to a full refund of the purchase price or, at their choice, repair or replacement of the part. They are not responsible for any other damages.
