In-Store Returns
Returning something bought at a store? Here’s how:
- Returns are free at U.S. and Canada Anthropologie stores.
- Bring the item along with the receipt or use AnthroPerks lookup.
- Items must be in original condition.
- Store purchases must be returned in-store – you can’t mail them back.
- Exceptions: Wedding gowns, bridal sets, and certain furniture must be returned to the warehouse if they weren’t purchased in-store.
- Returns at Anthropologie Home Outlet or pop-up locations are not allowed.
- If you can’t visit a store in person, call the location nearest you to arrange a mail-in return. You’ll get store credit.
Online, App, or Phone Returns

- Refunds are processed in 1–2 weeks, and show up in your account in 1–3 business days after that.
Exchanges
Anthropologie makes it easy to exchange:
- Want the same item in a different size or color? Shipping is free both ways.
- Want a different item? Return your original item, then place a new order.
- If your item is damaged, wrong, or missing, submit a claim for a free replacement by following the online return steps.

Returning Furniture & Select Décor
Furniture items come with their own special rules, especially when delivered using Anthropologie’s Unlimited Furniture Delivery service.
If your furniture came via Unlimited Furniture Delivery:
- Must be returned within 30 days of delivery
- Cannot be returned in-store, even if purchased at a store
- Must be returned via the original delivery service-you’ll need to schedule a pickup
- Restocking fees apply on select upholstered pieces—check the item’s product page
- The original delivery fee is non-refundable

Wedding Gowns & Bridal Sets
- Must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and free of stains, pet hair, pin marks, etc.
- Tags must be attached and item in original packaging.
- In-store purchased gowns can be returned in-store.
- Online or phone purchased gowns must be shipped back to the warehouse.
- Made-to-order gowns are final sale
- A restocking fee may apply (check individual product pages).
Terrain Live Plants
- Live plants are final sale and cannot be returned.
- If your plant arrives dead, damaged, or not right, Anthropologie will:
- Send a free replacement, or
- Issue a refund

Gifts & Registry Returns
For Online Gifts:
- Use the Start a Return or Exchange link on their website
- Enter the order number and billing zip code.
